and continuing on...

Yes, I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. Phil 1:18b-19

Yes, and I will continue to rejoice...

"It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of good will. The latter do so in love...the former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely...but what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice." Phil 1:15-18

Home is a feeling you wake with one day

Try not to miss me.

Too too too much.
It's time to retreat to safe shelter.
Enjoy the break.

Psalm 61:4
I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.

Psalm 55:8
I would hurry to my place of shelter,
far from the tempest and storm.

Psalm 91:1
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I am not...

Supergirl or WonderWoman
I have no super powers
I do not organize well on a regular basis
My memory fails me far too often
I take on tasks that I think "sure, I can do this!!" only to find life has another plan
I aim for plenty and find the wind carrying me off course

but...

I am
a GOOD mom
a caring friend
a loving sister, aunt & daughter
and I'm learning to be a sheep to the good shepherd
today, that's enough for me.

Bumps in the road... and grace

Is it October already?

Thank God for fall!

Autumn.

*sigh*

We are six weeks into the school year and I'm so glad that it looks like it's going to be a great year. Both kids are settling in well and each managing their homework, classwork, and friendships quite well.

I completed my first month of working only one job (hallelujah!) instead of two, survived (literally) the most bizarre month of September ever, learned a little bit about discipleship, learned a little more about worship, was confronted by realities and learned how to forgive...again...and again...and I'm sure I'll learn it again...'til I'm better at it. :)

I'm learning to say "when" and "enough" and "no" when I need to and to stand better ground on boundaries. I like my free evenings and the kids and I now have more time to just be a family, not rushing to get everything done.

I like the laughter. It makes my heart glad. I had the chance to catch up with some former neighbors who stopped by to say hello. What a wonderful thing. So nice to have the time to visit and glad to hear that good things are happening for them.

It doesn't sound like much. It's been a lot of some things and a little of others and everywhere in it is grace.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
